EMDR Consultations
I help support other clinicians connected to and providing support to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities as they work to bring EMDR Therapy to historically and systematically excluded communities. I focus on Complex trauma, oppression trauma, grief & loss, cultural stress, and perinatal mental health. Additionally, I have experience applying EMDR Therapy within Community Mental Health Centers and Integrated Medical Facilities. Along with, experience with application of bilingual Spanish and English EMDR Therapy.
Individual Consultation
Rate: $75.00 USD for one hour of consultation.
Frequency of consultation: This depends on how many EMDR cases you have. I can provide consultation weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

EMDR BIPOC Group Consultation
The EMDR BIPOC Group Consultations are for clinicians identifying as Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, and other traditionally underrepresented persons of color (BIPOC) who work with BIPOC clients. The group consultation will support your training process by conceptualizing each of the eight phases of EMDR with a lens for identifying how systems of oppression contribute to oppressive cognitions. You will further your skills in how to guide participants presenting with complex trauma, generational trauma, oppression trauma, cultural stress, grief and loss, PTSD, and anxiety in the identification of targets that address oppression trauma, and address dissociation and more throughout the phases of EMDR.
If you are a clinician working towards EMDR certification I can provide you with 15 hours of consultation because I am a Consultant-In-Training. The reminder 5 hours must be completed with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. If you are in the process of gathering your foundational hours, you must have received your foundational training through ICM to participate in the group.

EMDR Spanish Focused Consultation Group
This group is best for clinicians fluent in Spanish who want to refresh their clinical language use by reading Francine Shapiro’s seminal book Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: Basic Principals, Protocols, and Procedures in Spanish- EMDR: Principios básicos, protologos & procedimientos. Participants are welcomed to bring case consultation questions and ask about problems of practice. If you are a therapist whose formal education, work experiences, and consultation has occurred in English, this group will resonate for you.
This consultation group is led by Taína Amaro, LCSW, PMH-C, EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and Angélica Figueroa, LCSW, PMH-C, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, Consultant-In-Training.
These consultations take place over Zoom and count toward your first 10 hours of consultation if you have received your training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. If you are working towards EMDR Certification, hours also count towards your certification hours.
Monthly on Wednesday (Starting August 2025): 7:00am-09:00am PST/10:00am-12:00pm EST
